About Modern Body Doc
I'm Rob Falconer. I'm not a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or therapist. I'm a UK-based software professional and consumer researcher, and I built this site to make US telehealth easier to understand from the customer's side.

What this site covers
Plain-English guides to what US telehealth services cost, whether your insurance covers them, what happens to your data, and how signing up actually works. Every fact comes from a dated, linked source.
- Online therapy: insurance, copays, Medicare, employer EAP sessions and how platforms compare on cost and privacy.
- FDA-approved weight care: cash prices and coverage for FDA-approved options only, and how to tell what a telehealth site is really selling.
- Virtual primary & urgent care: visit prices, memberships, insurance and what online providers say they can and can't treat.
- Birth control & sexual health: what online prescription services charge with and without insurance, and how the process works.
- Privacy & safety: what telehealth apps may share, lessons from FTC cases, and how to check that a provider is licensed.
Why this site exists
Telehealth companies are good at marketing and less good at explaining what you'll actually pay, what your insurance will cover, how cancellation works and what happens to your data. Those are research and systems questions, not medical ones. Years of working in tech have taught me to read the fine print, follow how sign-up flows and billing actually work, and check claims against primary sources. In short, I research from the customer's side of the screen.

What "Doc" means here
Not doctor. Think documented: every price, coverage detail and regulatory point on this site links to the source it came from, with the date it was checked. If a claim can't be sourced, it doesn't go on the page.
How we work
Sources first
Prices and coverage details come from the company's own pages or official sources (FDA, FTC, Medicare.gov), with the date we checked.
No invented experience
We only describe using a service if we really did, and we say so. No made-up reviews, quotes or ratings.
Clinical review where it matters
Pages with health information are checked by a licensed US clinician before we call them reviewed. How review works.
Upfront about money
Some links may earn us a commission. Pages with paid links say so at the top. Affiliate disclosure.
What I do and don't do
- I do explain costs, insurance, privacy terms and how services work, from each company's own published information and official sources.
- I don't diagnose, recommend treatments or medications, or tell you whether a service is right for your health.
- I don't promote compounded GLP-1 products, and companies can't pay for coverage or rankings. See the editorial policy.
- Prices are dated, and there's a public corrections process: report an error.
Where I'm based
I live in the United Kingdom and write for US readers. Prices, insurance rules and availability on this site are US-specific and can vary by state.
